Welcome to this watercolor course, where we explore the magical world of watercolor through different forms of expression. We will work with both figurative and abstract landscapes and explore depth and contrast in painting.
This course is for those who want to work with painting and at the same time get input and suggestions for your painting process. You will be introduced to different watercolor techniques and approaches.
Course content:
● Step-by-step guidance: Uffe Boesen gives step-by-step guidance in different watercolor techniques from 18:00.
● Feedback and suggestions: You will receive feedback and suggestions for your watercolors in progress upon request.
● Painting freedom: The course is a free space to paint, perfect for those who find it difficult to find time to paint in everyday life.
Content and technique:
● Techniques: During the course, we practice different watercolor techniques such as wet-on-wet, light, contrast and color techniques. You'll get an introduction to the technical possibilities and challenges of watercolor painting.
● Creative expression: The aim is to touch your creativity and create a breeding ground for artistic expression. The course gives you the opportunity to experience the creative process.
Materials: Bring your own materials and food. If you already have watercolor paints, brushes, pencils and watercolor paper, use them initially before buying new equipment. Crayons, crayons and markers can also be combined with your watercolors as needed.
7 useful watercolor paints:
● Lemon yellow - cold yellow
● Yellow ochre light - sand color
● Magenta - cold red
● Prussian blue - blue
● Ultramarine blue - violet blue
● Burnt sienna - earth tone
● Indigo - dark blue
Watercolor paper: Use 300 grams of watercolor paper, cotton paper rough or studio quality (cellulose), acid-free.
The course includes:
● Guidance on watercolor painting and techniques.
● Introduction to watercolor painting: wet on wet, abstract, figurative, light, shadows and colors.
● Introduction to the technical possibilities and challenges of watercolor painting.
● Joint image review with feedback and suggestions.
The aim of the course is to translate impressions and moods into your visual painterly expression and let observation and inspiration create a breeding ground for artistic expression. It's also about practicing new techniques and skills that can be used in the future.
