In the past, watercolourists didn't have many options when it came to choosing a surface. Now you can turn almost any surface into a watercolour base! This watercolour primer also works really well with mixed media such as collage, pastel and pencil. Apply the primer directly from the can with a foam sponge or synthetic brush for more texture on the surface. If you want a really fine finish, apply the primer in thin layers and allow each layer to dry before applying the next. To ensure Watercolor ground has the right absorbency and finish, it should be left to dry for at least 24 hours before use. All Daniel Smith watercolor grounds have a high light fastness and a good durability. Contains 118 ml.
