Sennelier Varnish Gloss UV-protective

Sennelier Spray Universal Anti-UV Varnish is a spray-on protective varnish designed to protect paintings and works of art created with oil or acrylic paints from harmful sunlight or ultraviolet rays. Of course, the protective varnish also provides good protection against the usual enemies of paint, such as dust, moisture, dirt, and, to a certain extent, scratches. The spray dries to a transparent film that does not yellow.

Universal Anti-UV Varnish is available in three finishes: matte, satin, and glossy. The cans contain 375 ml.

• Shake the can up and down for 2–3 minutes before use. Directions: Spray outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. The temperature should be above 5 °C, and humidity should be as low as possible. Make sure your workpiece is completely dry before applying a topcoat.
• It is best to spray in several thin coats from a distance of about 20–25 cm, allowing about 2 minutes between each coat. Additional coats may require a drying time of 24 hours or more, depending on the surface.
• Turn the can upside down when you're finished, and spray until only gas comes out. This minimizes the risk of the nozzle becoming clogged with paint or varnish. For optimal shelf life, always store cans with the nozzle attached.
