Da Vinci MAESTRO 10 red sable watercolor brushes are full-bodied brushes with a strong, perfectly pointed tip, designed for watercolor, gouache, and miniature painting on watercolor paper, canvas, and plastic. The brushes are made from select Siberian Tobolsky-Kolinsky red sable hair—tail hair from the winter coats of selected male martens—which retains a perfect tip and offers exceptional elasticity and color-holding capacity. Sizes 10–24 are particularly well-suited for both large areas and fine details.

The brushes feature a short, black polished wooden handle and silver ferrule, and each brush is thoroughly tested by our skilled brushmakers. Series 10, 11, 35, 1301, 1505, and 5506 come in a gift box starting with size 6 and up, and starting with size 12, they also include a small bar of moisturizing, pure soap for the care of these valuable brushes.
